Give Good Gift! December 7th and 8th. Come and get it!
The past year has been great to Portland’s favorite new event space. UNION/PINE has hosted Off Site meetings with the likes of Nike, Ziba, and Instrument, photo shoots with Lulu Lemon, Lizard Lounge, and Adidas, mixers with the crew at Google, Converse, and AIGA, art shows with Wieden + Kennedy, Beam & Anchor, ADX, Laika, and countless amazing local artists, events for XOXO, MFNW, Airbnb, and Portland Design Week, helped build a hopping monthly Flea market, and has been the home of a lovely lineup of weddings, birthday parties, and even a high school prom.
Just one year into existence, it is time for a second edition of UNION/PINE’s Holiday Pop Up Event, Give Good Gift. With the momentum building from their successes, and the exciting lineup they’ve amassed, the 2012 edition will certainly be one to catch.
With nationally recognized shops Machus (New York Times), Lizard Lounge (Fodor’s), Core77’s Hand Eye Supply, and Tanner Goods (Hypebeast), celebrated boutiques Backtalk, Lowell, Mag-Big, and Worn Path, treasured local haunts Boys Fort, Monograph Bookwerks, and Salvage Works, and a slew of talented designers and artisans including the insanely popular wooden shades, Shwood, vendor offerings cover every name on your holiday list.
Shoppers will find incredible jewelry for every style by Ak Vintage, Boet, and Sword + Fern, clothing options for him and her (and you) from Bridge & Burn and Yo Vintage!, and perfect things that won’t be regifted from Carbon Audio, Egg Press, Fieldwork Flowers, Jacobsen Salt, Makelike, Octopus Books, Studio Olivine, Solabee, The Good Flock, Trust Co., and West America.
In conjunction with UNION/PINE’s monthly First Friday event for their Central Eastside neighborhood’s art walk, December 7th will be a nighttime festivity complete with food trucks (Thrive & Retrolicious) and a full bar. Providing libations will be the fine folks at New Deal Distillery and Gigantic Brewing, and the shopping/drinking will carry on from 6pm to 11pm. December 8th will kick off early enough for the serious shoppers, complete with coffee and pastries by New York Times local favorite, Water Avenue Coffee, and Bloody Marys and Mimosas for those who were burning the midnight oil.
